Steve Ketterer

This week, we have another talented artist from the USA. Enjoy . . .

"A race car seen in motion is a race car observed in its natural state. Designed to move at high speed, it does so while exuding the power and grace that is unparalleled by any other man-made object. What a beautiful sight, indeed!”

Designer, painter and photographer, Stephen Ketterer has a love for capturing the essence of the automobile. From the time he was in grade school, he had an affinity for creating automotive imagery. “My classmates would ask me to draw a Ferrari, or a Mustang or GTO.

I thrived on perfecting my depiction of the iconic cars of the time. And, while these early drawings were merely static representations, producing them set me on a course toward who I am today.”

Steve went on to get his art degree at The State University of New York College at Buffalo and is Senior Art Director at a successful marketing firm in Western New York.

Lately, in his spare time, he enjoys painting acrylics and oils. Along with motorsports, subjects that he paints include streetscapes and birds in flight. “I leveraged what I’ve learned in capturing the automobile in motion toward my depiction of animals. There’s a definite correlation between the two subjects as man-made designs have their roots in nature.”

Steve exhibits his work in local galleries and shows, and looks forward to expanding his drawing and painting career in the future.
