Nicki Thornton Designs

Today we are featuring another talented artist from the UK who was recommended to us by another featured artist, Lewis Bunn.

Originally from Warwickshire, Nicki has always been interested in cars since growing up with her dad, learning the mechanics and knowledge of cars, most specifically muscle cars.

After working with her Dad rebuilding his 66' Corvette, learning the practical working of performance cars, she bought a 65' Plymouth Valiant which is her own ongoing restoration.

A true petrol head and creative at heart she gained a degree in Animation from DeMonte Ford university with passion and enthusiasm for design.

With a skilled eye for realistic drawing she has been producing excellently hand drawn marker rendered automotive art.

As a naturally talented concept, landscape and 3D animation artist she wishes to work in Video game and Movie industry providing concept art.

All her artwork including cars can be viewed on her Facebook page here.

Lewis Bunn

Lewis is from the Uk and born in Middlesbrough. At just 22 years old he has recently completed his bachelor of arts degree in Automotive Design with aspirations to design for Jaguar, Nissan or Ford.
“I have always been a car ‘geek,’ my first word was car and it all snowballed from there!” explains Lewis. “I studied product design through school and college with success but it wasn’t until my degree where I learned a more polished sketching style”.

With professional input and a lot of practice he learnt how to marker render, Photoshop render, clay sculpt and 3D computer aided design on Alias.
His final project was a hybrid powered 5th generation Toyota Soarer aimed at the “build it your way” generation, complete with tuning and exterior customisation at the heart of the design.

He also had the opportunity and the privilege of working in Jaguar Land Rover, designing interior components.

He is also an avid photographer and thoroughly enjoys the automotive scene, particularly Japanese, drifting and American muscle.
His work is being updated through his Coroflot portfolio. “I’m always open to advice and assistance, and welcome any questions or advice in automotive design as we are always learning”. commented Lewis.

He also added “my special thank you goes to my wonderful fiancée Nicki who is also a very talented artist and without her support I wouldn’t be where I am today”.
Well, we like his work specially his taste in cars as his favourite car is a 1969′ Ford GT40 in Gulf colours.
