Dam Charles Artwork

Another Monday means another talented artist featured on in2motorsports.com. This time from France.

Born in Gap, France which is Seb Ogier's hometown the 33 year old, Dam Charles is an art teacher as well as a designer, photographer, airbrusher,... he is an artist. He has been drawing and painting cars, specially Rally cars since he was a little boy. This passion still moves him forward with his amazing work, always open to try new projects and methods.
As far as technique and materials go, he said; "I love real paper, pen and black ink but i often use a wacom tablet and a stiletto. Most of my rally artworks are designed on my computer, the possibilities are unlimited, it's realistic but still artistic!"
Once he has completed the design he then prints all these artworks on photographic paper, in various sizes. He modifies colours sometimes to get different effects!
"The cars seem alive, I focus on speed, movements, noises and smells, just like if you were there at the rally". He commented.
Copying picture does not interest him as he wants to create something fun, original and new and as we can see this really works.
He also paints with airbrush as he mentioned; "many friends of mine are drivers or co-drivers,and some ask me to customize their helmets..with real paint this time!"
His favorite discipline is WRC and he follows the Rally closely. His heroes in the 1980's were Vatanen and Saby and he managed to meet Ari Vatanen last year which was like a dream come true.
His goal is to keep working with interesting people in motorsport. Looking to work with teams who would be interested to create liveries, racing suits, helmets.
"For now though, I'm looking for a partnership to organize an art exhibition during the next Monte-Carlo Rally in January 2016, I wait and see.." he concluded.
He continues to work with the Ogier's fan club and many projects with Seb and Julien (Ingrassia).. "they are really nice people!" he added.
With his surname being Charles, his brothers often call him "Carlos" after Carlos Sainz, who else!
He also wanted to add "I'd like to thank all the rally fans who support me on social networks, they send me so many good comments! thank you all!"

Scott Jacobs Art

Scott’s medium is acrylic on Belgian linen, and his brush of choice contains about six hairs.  He has been recognized as one of the best photorealist painters in the 21st Century. Besides Harley-Davidson, he also works with Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge Viper, Mattel, Marilyn Monroe Estates, Elvis Presley Enterprises, other notable companies, and not to mention companies he is currently forming relationships with.

After years of success as an artist, Scott decided to get back into the gallery business by opening his own gallery; Scott Jacobs Studio Art Gallery & Framing in San Elijo Hills, California.  The public can now view Scott Jacobs’ collection of paintings and prints in a building owned and operated by his family.  The gallery also includes a working studio where Scott paints when he’s in town.  Visitors can sit and admire his paintings come to life before their eyes.

The Man:

Scott Jacobs came from humble beginnings; his father was a tool and die man who worked in a factory to support his wife and four children.  Scott showed the same work ethic at the young age of 12 when he strapped a gas can to the top of his lawnmower and towed it behind his bicycle to mow 42 lawns each week.  From his lawn mowing profits and other self-motivated jobs, he was able to open an Art Gallery at the age of 19; the youngest recorded gallery owner in the United States.

One of Scott’s greatest personal accomplishments happened in 2012 when his youngest daughter, Alexa and he appeared on ABC’s, “Secret Millionaire”.  The entire Jacobs family has always been philanthropic, but this experience enabled them to share the good of helping others worldwide.  You can view the commercial-free episode on Scott's website.

You can contact Scott via his website here.

Also, why not follow him and keep up to date with his work on Facebook here.

By the way, Scott will be attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally which he has been attending for 22 years. This year is the 75th and he has an amazing new image being released during the show which you can have a sneak preview below;

The dates are July 23rd - August 9th and their two locations are, Black Hills Harley-Davidson in Rapid City, SD and Miss Kitty’s in Deadwood, SD.

We are very happy to be able to share some of Scott's work with you below. Always respect copyright.
